WHAT ARE WE LEARNING: Artist Analysis
WHY IS IT IMPORTANT: Artist analysis is important because it allows viewers to gain a deeper understanding of an artwork by examining the artist's choices in composition, technique, symbolism, and context, which helps to interpret the meaning behind the piece, appreciate the artist's intent, and learn from their creative process; essentially, it provides a framework to critically engage with art on multiple levels beyond just a visual impression.
HOW WILL MY TEACHER KNOW WHAT I LEARNED: You will research and analyize an Artist!
What materials did the artist use in the creation of their artworks?
What types of subject matter did the artist portray?
How would you describe the style of this artist?
