OPEN YOUR PHOTOGRAPHY FOLDER!

Double click to open the folder on your desktop.
If you do NOT have a Photography folder, MAKE ONE (right click...New Folder)
Create a NEW FOLDER INSIDE YOUR PHOTOGRAPHY FOLDER
Name the folder the Name of the Assignment (go to the actual assignment to get name!)

Card readers are attached to your computers!
Please do NOT move computers or try to detach!
When inserting a card, do NOT force it!
If your computer is on
the left of your monitor, the label faces AWAY from you!

Open Photography then open SD CARD TEST folder
Open your ASSIGNMENT folder (inside your Photography folder).
Open your ASSIGNMENT folder (inside your Photography folder).
On the left of the Assignment folder, Look for EOS_DIGITAL or Removable Disk (The card you just inserted)

Right click it and select OPEN IN NEW WINDOW

Move the new window over (so you can still see the ASSIGNMENT folder)
Double click the
DCIM Folder

With ASSIGNMENT folder selected...

Hold down the WINDOWS key and press the LEFT ARROW
Hold down the WINDOWS key and press the LEFT ARROW
With the EOS_Digital Folder selected...
With the EOS_Digital Folder selected...
Hold down the WINDOWS key and press the RIGHT ARROW
Hold down the WINDOWS key and press the RIGHT ARROW
Selected images will be highlighted (Note: your files WILL look different!)
NOW, with the SD CARD FOLDER selected...
select Ctrl + A on your keyboard
It should select ALL the images that you shot EACH DAY!
Before you let go of the mouse, you will see + Copy
Left click and pull to drag ALL the images INTO THE ASSIGNMENT FOLDER you created!
This will place a copy in that folder!
Each day you take photos you will make sure to download images BEFORE leaving class!
Now...
To remove the disk (without damaging it)
On the SD Card (EOS DIGITAL):
Look on the left hand panel
Right click the SD Card (EOS_DIGITAL)
Select EJECT
Carefully take the card out of the reader!
Make sure your ASSIGNMENT FOLDER is still open!
If you have the SD card in your hand and the images are still seen on your computer you copied them correctly!
