Get to know Adobe Express!

What is Express?

WHAT ARE WE LEARNING: Adobe Creative Cloud Express

WHY IS IT IMPORTANT: Adobe Creative Cloud Express is a cloud-based media creation application that makes it easy for anyone to create impressive social media graphics, promotional videos, and single-page websites. One of its great features is that it can be accessed from any device with online access.

HOW WILL MY TEACHER KNOW WHAT I LEARNED: You will practice different tools and techniques and gradually show your success!

Let's take your photo!

We need a Photo of YOU!

Each student....

We have the camera set up to take a quick photo!

You want to take your own photo or use a photo from your phone?

You MUST be the only person in the photo
Try to find a blank/open background
You must see your entire head and shoulders (at least) in the photo! Take a few! Try different facial expressions!
All must be school appropriate!
Do this outside of class time please!

Let's Explore Adobe Express!

Creative Cloud on Desktop!

First!

At the bottom of your screen, type Creative Cloud in the seach bar and click on Adobe Creative Cloud!

Click the blue button!

Now...

Click on Adobe Express (it will open in your browser!)

Bookmark it by clicking on the STAR on the top right!

Click...

I am a STUDENT!

Click Let's go!

On the left hand side is your Express Toolbar

In the center are templates

Adobe Express is template-based...this means alot of the hard work is already done for you!

You can click the + on the top left corner...

This is where we can create a new item in Adobe Express.

From Collages to social Media posts, there is everything we need for quick graphics!

Also located here are QUICK ACTIONS

Let's make a SOCIAL MEDIA post!

You can click the + on the top left corner...

Select SOCIAL MEDIA and ADs

Select Instagram Portrait Post

Now you have a blank page (the correct size for a post!)

NAME you file first!

First Initial Last Initial Photo Day SM

Click on +ADD CONTENT

Select Media

In the search bar you can search for something related to your post

I used the term PHOTOGRAPHY

Find a photo you like and click on it!

It should now be on your blank page!

Resize your photo to fit the page by pulling on the handles! (the Dots on the corners of the image)

Add some text!

Click on the TEXT icon

Then click Add your text

Remember to make changes on the left!

Color? Font? Placement?

SHORTCUT TO LOG OFF COMPUTER!

Remember to SAVE (ctrl + S) any file before doing this shortcut!

SHORTCUT!

Press and hold the CTRL and ALT keys on your keyboard + the DELETE key (above the Backspace key!)

Then...

select SIGN OUT!

Signing out closes all programs opened!

Please place HEADPHONES on your Monitors!
